Here is a treble clef version of a popular melody called ‘ode to joy’, taken from Beethoven’s 9th symphony.
It is quite a simple melody written in a 4/4 time signature with a simple crotchet melody. With that in mind make sure that you hold your dotted crotchet on for a beat and a half. We must hear the different rhythms in those bars. Very important.
This version can be played by any treble clef instrument, however we recommend that you play it on a trumpet, cornet, french horn, tenor horn, baritone or treble clef trombone euph and tuba.
